Life is not too short and I will live it

I was about to cry in the middle of the bookstore when I saw the yellow sticker on it telling me it’s a signed copy.
(Stopped myself from crying because, you know, I was standing in the middle of a bookstore.)

No, this isn’t about the content of the book but about how I still don’t have my hands on a copy.

So, as most of you know, you were able to pre-order the book in the summer and insure getting a signed copy. Of course I did this the first day and didn’t give it another thought until my winter break. During winter break I started to become unsure about getting the book from Amazon (never ordered anything from there before) and so in the end I went to my local bookstore. I asked them to pre-order the book for me and they said they would do that. Sadly, on the release date I found out that they did not pre-order it for me. So this meant a unsigned copy for me and yes, that makes me pretty sad.
A week and a half later (today) I went into the store to check if they’ve gotten the book yet and they have not. However, the lady apoligized for not pre-ordering the book like I had asked and the confusing that happened. 

And you know what? The anger I had towards them for not doing things like I had asked them to is gone. Hearing that she was sorry for what happened actually made me a bit happy. However, the sadness of a unsigned book is still here.

Good news is that I may be getting my copy in about 4-5 days!
