Bestselling author John Green chronicles the trials and tribulations of a young teen who is forced to reexamine life when his Baked Alaska falls off a table.
I would read the hell out of this.

A great and funny book!
I would just like to thank the author and vlogger John Green for so many things but mostly for the book ‘Looking for Alaska’.
Not only was the book the first book I read of his, it was also the reason why I started to like my current English teacher so much. I just mentioned the book to her when she asked me what I was reading, reading another JG book, and she got curious so she kept asking. It all ended up with her ordering 10 copies of the book for the school, and 10 of The Hunger Games, thanks to me!
Note, she hadn’t even read the book when she ordered it. She told me she took my word for it being great and now that she’ve read it she agrees with me.
That isn’t the end though. A few weeks ago we got to choose the book we wanted to read and I recommended LFA to about 1/3 of the class that ended up picking it. This ended up with me having the best time talking about the book at the seminar 2 weeks ago. For the first time ever I got a chance to talk about a book I love so much on a deep level with people that liked the book as well. Great part after this? I was told yesterday that I got awesome remarks on it due to how my English had improved and the ways I talked about it! (The teacher did note that she didn’t expect anything else from me seeing how much I love it.)
So yes, I’m thanking John Green for writing a book that made school a bit more awesome. Thanks!
